Le Kitāb al-Iꜥlām wa-tabyīn fī ḫurūǧ al-Faranǧ al-malāꜥīn ꜥalā bilād al-muslimīn est rédigé, au début du xe/xvie siècle, par un historien inconnu, Aḥmad b. ꜥAlī al-Ḥarīrī, qui vivait probablement dans les montagnes libanaises proches de Damas. Abbès Zouache propose une édition critique et une traduction en français de ce texte, qui montre que plusieurs siècles encore après la conquête par les Mamelouks de Saint-Jean-d’Acre, en 1291, et la disparition du royaume de Jérusalem, la croisade était un fait de mémoire.
The Kitāb al-Iꜥlām wa-tabyīn fī ḫurūǧ al-Faranǧ al-malāꜥīn ꜥalā bilād al-muslimīn is written at the beginning of the 10th/16th century by an unknown historian, Aḥmad b. ꜥAlī al-Ḥarīrī, who probably lived in the Lebanese mountains near Damascus. Abbès Zouache offers a critical edition and a french translation of this text, which shows that several centuries after the conquest by the Mamluks of Saint-Jean-d’Acre, in 1291, and the disappearance of the kingdom of Jerusalem, the crusade was a fact of memory.
صنف كتاب « الإعلام والتبيين في خروج الفرنج الملاعين على بلاد المسلمين » في مطلع القرن العاشر الهجري/السادس عشر الميلادي، مؤرخ غير معروف، يُدعى أحمد بن علي الحريري، من المحتمل أن يكون قد عاش في جبال لبنان على مقربة من دمشق. يُقدم عباس زواش تحقيقًا للنص مع ترجمة فرنسية له، يتبيّن من خلالهما أنه حتى بعد قرون من غزو المماليك لعكا عام ١٢٩١، ونهاية مملكة القدس، ظلّت ذكرى الحملات الصليبية حيّة في الذاكرة والأذهان.

L’auteur:
Abbès Zouache est médiéviste, historien et philologue. Directeur de recherche au CNRS, il est directeur des études de l’Institut français d’archéologie orientale du Caire depuis septembre 2021. De 2017 à 2021, il a dirigé le Centre français d’archéologie et de sciences sociales de Sanaa (CEFAS), renommé en 2020 Centre français de recherche de la péninsule Arabique (CEFREPA). Spécialiste de la guerre et de la paix dans l’Orient médiéval (Xe– XVe siècle), il s’intéresse tout particulièrement aux relations islamo-chrétiennes dans le cadre de la croisade.
